4 Months

Ty is now 4 months. He weighs 14 lbs. 3 0z. He is 25 1/4 in. long. He has rolled over once from his tummy to his back. He's working on those abs. He attempts to sit up in the carseat and bouncer even though he is tyed down by the straps. He sits up with the help of mom and dad. He is curious about everything and has started to grab things with his hands and then attempts to put things in his mouth. He is also very vocal. We love watching him discover new things.

3 Months

At Ty's 3 month check up he weighed 13 lbs. 6 0z. He was 24 3/4 in. long. Ty has been working on his hand coordination. He always seems to have his hands in his mouth. He loves to chew on his fingers. He also loves his floor gym. There is a sun that lights up and plays music that always makes him smile. One of the things I love is going into his room to get him from his naps. As I start talking to him he starts to look for me and when he finds me he gives me a BIG cheesy grin. It makes me melt every time. He certainly brightens up my day. We all love his smiles and laughter. We especially love having Ty in our family.

The New Do

I decided to get rid of my hair. I was tired of kids yanking on it (specifically Ty and Garrett). My long hair also made feeding Ty a little difficult. He would have to feel his way through the forest of hair. I was certainly ready for a change. I'm no stranger to short hair and actually prefer it. I avoided it since haircuts out here are few and far between. I was spoiled with my own personal hairdresser (my sister). She is one talented hairdresser and no one compares to her.
I had a certain look in mind but I can't quite make it work with my hair. There is just TOO much to work with. Unfortunately I can't get away with those super short sassy haircuts but it is short nonetheless and I am glad it's gone. Maybe my haircut can somehow hide my fat rolls.

The Biggest Loser

Since having a baby I have obviously put on several unwanted pounds and Rob has talked about losing a few pounds for a few years now. Maybe its time to get down to business. We have decided to have a biggest loser competition. We have taken our measurements (which I refuse to share) and have set some goals and now its time to see who the BIGGEST LOSER really is. We have been going strong for about a month now or should I say one of us is. The other half stays up way too late most nights and tends to push the snooze button in the morning which makes it a bit more difficult to exercise on a regular basis. I must apologize on his behalf since he never knew what the snooze button was until he married me. I need to give him some credit though. He has been able to manage working out at least twice a week. His competition on the other hand (ME) has been working out at least five times a week. Not that you can tell. Nothing seems to be coming off, unless you count the half a pound I lost from getting a haircut. I did however lose a half an inch off my waist. It's not much but I will take it. We have yet to come up with a grand prize? Rob said the prize will be smaller waist sizes. I suggested a new wardrobe. What do you think Babe? I know he won't BUY that idea. So who will the biggest loser be? The Sensational Steph or the Reducing Rob. Stay tuned for the final weigh in.

Are we related?

Some people say I look just like my mom. What do you think?

JUST A PHASE

Ever since Garrett got a Spiderman costume for Halloween he rarely takes it off. I keep telling myself it is JUST A PHASE. It will end soon, but even now (6 months later) he still refuses to wear his clothes. He is either wearing his Spiderman costume or Spiderman pjs. If his Spiderman pjs are dirty then he insists on wearing his Cars pjs. The only time I can get him to wear normal clothes would be to Joy School and church and SOMETIMES other appointments, otherwise when we are home he lives in his character clothes. I wish he liked the cute stylish boy clothes I bought him but I'm afraid he will rarely wear them. I guess I'm forced to buy character clothes for spring and summer in hopes that he will be in clothes and not pjs. I guess there is an up side to all this - Ty will be able to wear his clothes since they will be in excellent condition. I must say Garrett does makes a great super hero.

2 Months

Ty is 2 months. At his 2 month visit he weighed 11 pounds and was 21 1/2 inches long.
He has discovered his hands. He is full of smiles these days and has even laughed a couple times. His favorite part of the day seems to be bath time. He loves the attention he gets from Tasha and Garrett.
