Acne At My Age

I'm 3_ and still break out all over my face. I should be past this phase in my life. My face feels like a mountainous valley. It's not right I tell you. The only time I have perfect skin is when I'm pregnant and I'm NOT about to be pregnant 365 days a year, every year for the rest of my life. I need help, a cure. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Mets Game

We decided to take the kids to a METS game. We actually payed a babysitter to watch Ty. We knew if he came we would be out walking around the concourse. If we were going to go to a sports event we wanted to be able to watch it and enjoy it. I do find it funny that we payed a babysitter for a night out...WITH THE KIDS! We should have made it a date night.....but we wanted the kids to share this experience with us....So we definitely payed the price. The amount we payed for the tickets was about the price we payed for our sitter. This explains why we NEVER go out on a date. (Anyone up for a babysitting swap? I'm all for it!)

The bus ride from the parking lot to Shea Stadium.

We were fortunate to attend one of the last games that will ever be played at the Shea Stadium.

The kids were so excited to stay up late on a school night.

We had a great time!!!

We even decided to "TREAT" ourselves at the game. Rob came back with icecream. After our frozen treat we were all ready for hot chocolate.

Our friends the Dillinghanms kept us company at the game.

It ended up being a cool night. It started to rain around the fourth inning and we left around the fifth inning. The final score was 7 to 6. GO METS!!!!!!!

Coney Island

Our last trip to the beach was spent on Coney Island over Labor Day Weekend. It was the perfect day to enjoy the sand, the water, the park and the boardwalk.

The Land of Make Believe

We went to an Amusement/Water Park in New Jersey with friends.

We enjoyed the rides! We enjoyed the Water Park! We enjoyed the company!

Well..... most of the rides. Before...

and After (Garrett did not enjoy this ride, his head was down the whole time)

End of Summer Fun

Life speeds by and I never seem to have any time to blog. I will try to catch you up to speed. We spent the day at Great Captain's Island. We packed a lunch and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon together as a family.

8-9 Months

Ty is growing so quickly. At 8 months he was rolling around to get from place to place. If he couldn't reach a toy he would purposely do a face plant to get on the floor so he could roll over to his final destination. He has improved his tactic since then. It is just a matter of time before he learns to crawl and when he does, I will be in BIG trouble. It started with a pushup, then he figured out how to get into the crawling position, then he started to rock back and forth, now he will take steps with his hands but then ends up on his belly. As soon as he figures out how to move those back legs, my life will be over because he WILL be into everything. He is such a curious little boy. He goes after anything he can see. Recently he tries to pull himself up onto things he can reach, sometimes he manages to get himself up on his knees. He's a bit wobbly and falls easily.

We officially tried to sleep train Ty at night. The lack of sleep has started to take its toll on mommy. We decided to train him over Labor Day weekend. The next few nights were rough on all of us, but we succeeded. He is sleeping through the night. Thank goodness. Now I'm trying to figure out how to keep him on a schedule during the day. Since school has started, naps are inconsistent and revolve around Tasha's and Garrett's schedules. I do my best but its rough for our little Ty. Although, it seems like when he has the opportunity to take a good nap he refuses to take one. I can't win! I've screwed this kid up for good I'm afraid.

I'm sure you have all heard of the phrase a "bouncy baby boy." Well Ty fits that description perfectly. He bounces when he gets excited. He reminds me of Tigger.

Ty has become a pincher. When I'm breast feeding he will pinch me all over. I have bruises in places I've never had bruises before.

Ty will grab his crackers, puffs or cheerios with his whole hand. Most of the food falls into his bib and on the floor but occasionally he gets something in his mouth. Lately, he has discovered the art of spitting his food at mommy when he's eating (thanks to Garrett). I literally become a speckled mess. It's not doing good things for my almost non-existent wardrobe. As the summer came to an end Ty decided that he wanted nothing to do with a bottle. That was a sad day for mommy.

Ty's favorite time of the day is bathtime. HE LOVES IT!!! He loves splashing in the water and getting mommy all wet. I have started sitting him up in the tub. He feels like such a big boy especially when his brother and sister join him in the tub. I have to hold on tight since he is such a wiggle worm. Luckily he hasn't gone under yet.

Ty also got his first haircut. He looks like a little man. He is nicknamed Smiley. He just can't seem to wipe his smile off of his face. We LOVE our little Ty.

Under Construction

A few weeks ago Rob decided he wanted to change things around on our blog. I mentioned we could use the cute scrapbook pages on our blog. He completely disagreed. So until he finds the time to fix it, it will be under construction. This could take days, weeks, months or even years.
