10 Months

At 9 months Ty weighed 17 lbs. 3 oz. and at 10 months he weighed 17 lbs 11 oz. He is in the 5% in weight which is a concern. He is an active little boy and reaching all his milestones, he is just a toothpick. There are several factors associated with his drop in weight: He is teething, he is a picky eater, and he's also not getting enough milk since mommy is loosing her milk and he REFUSES to take a bottle. I have tried everything to put weight on this kid. I put butter on bread, cream cheese on bagels. We try giving him anything high in fat like fries and pizza. You name it we have tried it. We just want our little Ty to eat and put on a few pounds!

Since eating is a problem, sleeping has become a problem. He sleeps through the night but he thinks the day should start between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning. (and I thought 6:00 was early, these days I would take it!) He has decided he only needs one nap a day even though he is exhausted. He is very strong willed (I'm not sure where he gets it from HA HA!) He is determined to get his way. As hard as I try to get this kid on a schedule he just won't allow it. Ive decided that I'm broken (either that or he is, maybe I need to trade him in for a newer model.)

On a happier note Ty started crawling on Oct. 5th. He trades off between the monkey crawl and the regular crawl depending on whether he is on the hard wood floor or the carpet. Ty has started to stand up to everything and taking a few steps while holding on. He falls constantly which would explain the permanent bruise he seems to have on his head. On Oct. 4th he popped his first tooth. A few days later he popped another one. He has 2 bottom teeth.

Some of the fun things he does is shake his head even though he doesn't understand what it means. He makes a mamama sound. He likes to make a popping sound with his mouth. He also gives us kisses but with an open mouth.

He loves to play with the big kids in their room. He also LOVES the tub. As soon as the water is turned on he leans over the tub ready to jump in. He scoots all over the tub and loves to splash. I get completely soaked.

Our little Ty is growing up too fast!

Happy Halloween 2008

Pumpkin Carving

Watch out for the pumpkin guts. You might get slimed!

Tasha carved a cat (with some help from mommy) and Garrett (or should I say daddy) carved the spider.

It's the headless Tasha!

Oh no, Spiderman lost his head. Who will save the day now?

All dressed up for trick-or-treating

Can you guess who calls the shots at our house?

Corn Maze

We headed off to Lyman's once again to get lost in their corn maze.

I saw this human totem pole and I swear I've seen those face before!

HMMMMMMMMMM.......

Which way do we go?

Even though we wandered around and got lost we made it out all right in the END.

We couldn't leave without some tasty doughnuts and apple cider. YUM!

Lyman's will definitely be one of our fall destinations next year.

Here are a few pictures of the ward Trunk or Treat Party. We were fortunate to have a few of our friends come. It was a spooky night filled with fun, food, games, and candy.

Apple Picking

We headed up to Lyman Orchard to pick apples.

Look Mom, this apple has a face!

Ty was only interested in the leaves.

I just want to taste it Dad!

We picked several kinds of apples.

In the end we couldn't leave without heading over to the pumpkin patch in search for the perfect pumpkin.

We had big plans for our bags of apples. We ate them as snacks, made carmel apples, devoured an Apple Crisp, and canned 3 jars of PINK applesauce (YES, It is pink.). This was my first year canning applesauce on my own. I canned what we picked (which explains the color). My fabulous mom sent her Victorio Strainer which made my job a lot easier. Thanks for being on call mom!!

I wish our apples would of stretched farther but I have BIG apple plans for next year.

Acne At My Age

I'm 3_ and still break out all over my face. I should be past this phase in my life. My face feels like a mountainous valley. It's not right I tell you. The only time I have perfect skin is when I'm pregnant and I'm NOT about to be pregnant 365 days a year, every year for the rest of my life. I need help, a cure. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Mets Game

We decided to take the kids to a METS game. We actually payed a babysitter to watch Ty. We knew if he came we would be out walking around the concourse. If we were going to go to a sports event we wanted to be able to watch it and enjoy it. I do find it funny that we payed a babysitter for a night out...WITH THE KIDS! We should have made it a date night.....but we wanted the kids to share this experience with us....So we definitely payed the price. The amount we payed for the tickets was about the price we payed for our sitter. This explains why we NEVER go out on a date. (Anyone up for a babysitting swap? I'm all for it!)

The bus ride from the parking lot to Shea Stadium.

We were fortunate to attend one of the last games that will ever be played at the Shea Stadium.

The kids were so excited to stay up late on a school night.

We had a great time!!!

We even decided to "TREAT" ourselves at the game. Rob came back with icecream. After our frozen treat we were all ready for hot chocolate.

Our friends the Dillinghanms kept us company at the game.

It ended up being a cool night. It started to rain around the fourth inning and we left around the fifth inning. The final score was 7 to 6. GO METS!!!!!!!
