Spring Break

Since Garrett had his Baptism near Easter, we were able to Celebrate the Holiday with both sets of grandparents.

We attempted geocaching but it was sooooooo cold that it was short lived.

 

 

We found a note but no treasure.



Easter Egg Hunt

Oh where, oh where have the Easter eggs gone? Oh where, oh where could they be?

We tried to see how many ways we could do the Easter Egg roll from rolling it with spoons down the hill...

...to using our noses (a kids only event)...

 

...It didn't work so well, but rolling them down the driveway was definitely the best way to roll your Easter eggs.

Garrett's Baptism

Garrett's Baptism was on March 30th, the day before Easter. It was a day filled with family and friends who came to be a part of his special day.  It was a beautiful day, a day of pure joy, and a service that was truly touching. 

We are so grateful for Garrett and his decision to follow the Savior and be baptized.

Garrett is now ready to prepare for a mission thanks to his nifty  Mission Saving Bank.

Another visit from a naughty leprechaun

There were messes left and right

He wrote: "I WAS HERE" in honey on our kitchen table

The leprechaun must have dropped a few gold pieces because they were mixed in with this mess of laundry on the floor.

The traps proved to be unsuccessful at catching our mischievous imposter.

We found a note on a paper bag. It read: I had a wee bit of fun exploring your new house. I left you breakfast for your efforts.

Breakfast: Green Bagels and Green Grapes

Dinner: Green beans and 4 leaf clovers for dinner

Valentines Day 2013

On valentines day we woke up to this on the table. The kids made valentines for us. So sweet!

I made a heart shaped breakfast with red velvet pancakes. YUM!

I went with a "Wild About You" theme this year. This will hopefully explain the tablecloth, plates, and cups. I gave the kids a stuffed wild animal and a blanket with a wild animal print on it. For their lunches I put in a bag of animal crackers with a note attached.

Just before dinner I sent the kids on a animal safari around the house. They had to find certain animals and match the sayings on the table with the correct animal.

I made a heart shaped dinner that included heart shaped pasta, carrots and bread.

For dessert I made brownies and made some chocolate covered strawberries.

It was a "WILD" day!

Garrett's 8th Birthday

I made sports themed cupcakes for Garrett's sports party.

Garrett had a sports spectacular birthday party at Boomers. He was able to play sports (basketball, soccer, dodge ball) on their sports court. They played a game of laser tag, and they each received 10 tokens to use in the Fun Zone.

They had pizza, cupcakes and ice cream.

After his party he played floor hockey and by the time he got home to open presents, he was drenched.
