Prepare for picture overload:) Our summer was jam packed full of fun!! What did we do?...
...We went camping with the Arveseths at Elk Neck State Park...
...We survived the Stake Pioneer Campout which was an extremely hot and humid experience with little relief at night. We were literally dripping with sweat. We felt like true pioneers.
...We spent the day with the Arveseths, Castletons and the Strongs at Cape Henlopen...
... And spent another beach weekend with the Arveseths and the Cowans...
...We found a favorite summer destination, Milburn Orchards...
...Explored Winterthur Gardens with the Castletons...
...And spent many days at the park...
...Enjoyed a day at the Childrens Museum in Deleware..
...Had summer camp at home with different themes such as exploding volcanoes...
...Crafts...
...An all about science week which included many simple experiments such as growing crystals, making goo, watching fireworks in a glass (using water oil and food coloring) and making our own icecream in a ziploc bag...
...Learned all about birds, even spotted them on a bird walk at the Audubon...
...Participated in the Bike and Hike, and Bat Chat at the Hagley Museum...
...Went to the Brandywine Zoo...
...And spent our last summer weekend with our friends the Jessee's at Chincoteague...
...Geocaching...
...Checking out the Mushroom Festival since we actually live in mushroom country...
...We even toured an oyster mushroom farm...
...Enjoyed a visit from our friends the Dillinghams....
...And a visit from Grandpa Olsen
I'd say we had a fun filled summer. Wouldn't you?
