First Word

His first word was (drum roll please..........) SPIDERMAN. No joke! It's not mom or dad, its spiderman. He also does the superhero sound effects. I guess you can see who is the most important figure in our house. Could it be that we have another spiderman wannabe? (Boy are we in trouble!) He usually has at least one superhero in his hand at all times.

Other facts:

Ty is now 14 months old.

He loves to help mommy with the laundry. In fact he pulls everything out of the basket that mommy puts into the basket. Then he dresses himself by wrapping the clothes around the back of his neck like a scarf .

He loves to knock down all the toilet paper in the bathroom closet. The books come off the shelf on a daily basis. He also likes to empty the shoes out of the basket.

He also loves to play Peek-A-Boo.

He is a walker. He has been walking for about a month. He gets more steady on his feet everyday. He has nothing to do with crawling. We are official hall monitors at church now.

The Binki seems to be permanently attatched to this boy.

Ty loves to cuddle.

As you may have noticed our Ty is small in stature. I've mentioned our concerns about his weight. At his last appointment he lost 2 oz. His weight has been a constant battle since he was about 9 months old. He is teething like crazy and continues to get ear infection after ear infection. He hasn't had much of an appetite and its shows.

Ty has never been a good sleeper. I've had to throw those sleep books out the window with this kid. It has only been the last month that his sleep schedule has been consistent at all. He will ONLY take one morning nap. He also continues to be an early riser. Even though I wish he would take two naps and sleep in, I'm grateful he sleeps through the night even though he thinks the day should start between 5:00-6:00 in the morning. I'm grateful he takes any kind of nap at all. Any sleep is better than no sleep. I love that he finally decided to stick to a sleep schedule.

Steph - I'm so sorry this little guy has been through so much already. Ear infections in little ones are the worst. Have you considered tubes, or is he too young?

And the sleep thing - Urgh! Yeah, that would drive me bananas!
